You just can't make this stuff up. Seen here:
"JavaScript growth is flat while pardoxically AJAX is taking off. In other words, we will take the AJAX and rich applications thank you very much, but please keep your tinker-toy language."
In other news, Web 2.0 is taking off, but HTML is so 90's!

I'd assume that many AJAX users use frameworks or compilers that generate the necessary JS code, so they don't have to learn that ugly language themselves.
I'd try that out, if I were into AJAX.
Slava, I tried too to explain to Rick the difficulty in what he was trying to express. He refuses to strive, through difficulties, to express himself well -- I don't know why. See for yourself.
I always thought that there was a nice link between expressing thoughts in natural language and expressing concepts in programming languages. My self-improvement in writing English prose has the nice byproduct of helping me to improve my software design. I'm sure you know what I mean. Perlis said that the main activities in good programming are "making plans, acquiring discipline in organizing thoughts, devoting attention to detail, and learning to be self-critical." Apparently some people do not subscribe to this.
